Foxy’s Favorites and Fails for May

I’ll start off with the Fails, because you always save the best for last:

1. Tresemme Dry Shampoo – As you read in my review this product just didn’t work for me so I consider it a FAIL. My hair was really oily and it had only been like 12 hours from the last time I washed my hair.
2. White Shatter OPI Nail Polish – As you read in my review this product just didn’t work for me so I consider it a FAIL. It looked like white out on my nails, not a good look in my opinion.
3. Essie Nail Polish in “Sand Tropez” – This color just looked a little gray on me. I wore it on my toes for almost a week and never had so many people comment about much they didn’t like it LOL – THANKS! So I consider this color a fail.

And now my Favorites:

1. Garnier Ultra Lift Under Eye Roller – I had been hearing about this for months but was REALLY skeptical about this product, but IT REALLY WORKS and I LOVE it!!!
2. Victoria’s Secret Lip Gloss in Pink – This lip gloss is soooo creamy. I think it looks great with my pale complexion but would even work for dark skin tones.
3. NYX Jumbo Eye Pencils– I love using this as a base over my primers. It helps bring out the true pigments of the eye shadows you are using.

4. Gold Bangle Bracelet from Forever 21 – LOVE LOVE LOVE as you seen from my Forever 21 haul. I’ve worn this a few times now and I LOVE it!
5. America’s Favorite Past Time Nail Art – Hehehe I had to add this because I loved it and got sooooo many compliments on it.
6. Physicians Formula Airbrushing Kabuki Brush – This brush is so soft, yet very dense. I use it to apply powder and blend.
7. OLAY PROx Advanced Cleaning System – I don’t use this everyday, but I do use it about ever 3 to 4 days. My skin feels so much softer than before. Also I used to get several breakouts throughout the month and have only had a few since starting to use this product.

8. Seche Vite – Can you say enough about this? It dries your nail almost instantly and creates a nice shiny top coat.
9. NYX Mega Shine Lip Gloss – These are great. They are inexpensive, smell great and come in a ton of nice colors. They even smell good and they don’t all smell the same.

10. Physicians Formula Happy Booster Glow & Mood Boosting Powder in Translucent – This is a great highlighter and smells wonderful. Every time I smell it I smile, so I guess the happy booster does work!

Ok so I’m sure you all know that this girl LOVES a bargain. Today Beauty sent an email out yesterday announcing you could get $25 worth of E.L.F. Cosmetics for only $10!!!! My local Target and Kmart only have a limited selection of E.L.F. Cosmetics, so I think this is a great way to score some of their products. PLUS, once I went to the E.L.F. Cosmetics website I saw that until 06/06/2011 you can get free shipping on orders over $25. So if you act fast, you could even get the shipping for free!!! *You buy an electronic gift card that is worth $25 and can then use it to purchase items from their website. But you have to buy the gift card to be able to get the deal. You can't just go straight to the E.L.F. Cosmetics website.

FOTD – Urban Decay Naked Palette (First Look) Tiffany D Inspired

So I was heading over to a friends house for a BBQ and decided I wanted to try out my NEW Urban Decay Palette. I took some pictures to share how I achieved the look. I liked it, I hope you do to!  

Nothing on my face (AHHH SCARY!!!)

  

Started off by using my Garnier Ultra-Lift Anti-Wrinkle Eye Roller under my eyes and the Urban Decay Primer Potion on my eye lids.

 

Then I patted “Toasted” on from my lid up to the crease.

 Blended “Buck” into the crease and slightly above.

Then I took “Hustle”, lightly dipped onto brush, and placed in the outer crease area and even brought down towards the lash line.

Patted “Virgin” on the brown bone and inner corner of the eye as a highlighter. 

Used a little “Creep” to darken the outer crease.

Used an angled eyeliner brush to apply a black gel liner, I used Maybelline Eye Studio Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner. Then went back over the black liner with “Creep” to soften the look a little.

  

I used Urban Decay Whiskey on my lower lash line and water line. Then I used another angled brush to smudge “Hustle” onto the lower lash line and smog on top. Finished up the look with L’Oreal Volumous Lashes in Blackest Black.

 

I was so rushed to get out of the house I didn’t take a final look picture, so here is me in the car a little while later. I used Revlon Colorstay Pressed Powder in “Light/Medium” all over my face. The MAC “Peachykeen” blush, with a highlight from Physicians Formula Happy Booster Glow & Mood Boosting Powder in Translucent. I used Cover Girl Lip Perfection Liner in “Seduce” and toped with NYX Mega Shine Lip Gloss in “Sweet Heart”.

ULTA and CVS Haul!!!! (AWESOME DEALS!!!)

Ok so I had some coupons that I wanted to use up, so off to heaven I went, I mean Ulta and CVS. I’m really starting to think Ulta is my home away from home. I don’t know about anyone else but I spend probably an hour plus every time I’m in there. Ok enough about me, on to the goodies!!!

Here is everything I got from Ulta

Urban Decay 24/7 Eye Pencil Duo ($29) – This pack comes with 2 pencils and a sharpener, I got both of the one Ulta had. One pack contains the colors Whiskey and Flip and the other pack contains Zero and Ransom. Considering these are some of the greatest pencils of all time, I couldn’t pass up this deal. One pencil normally cost $18 and the sharpener is $10 which is a $46 value for $29 – right there is already a savings of 37%. Plus the colors are so pretty and the colors I think I would use the most.

Urban Decay Naked Palette ($48) – Ok so I’m almost a whole year behind on this one, but you know what I FINALLY got one. I was struggling with the cost for a while and finally decided to break down and get it. I mean I’m so jealous of everyone every time I hear about someone using it. Now I have one of my very own. No discount, but oh well.

Loreal Sublime Bronzer in Medium Natural Tan ($7.49 w/ $1 off coupon) – I am soooo pale and I like to have a little color. I mean I get teased when I wear socks because you can’t tell where my sock ends and my skin starts (HAHAHAHA soooo NOT funny!!). So I decided I would give this one a try. I’ll do a review shortly.

Sally Hershberger Wave Spray ($9.99 w/ 20%) – I wanted to get a beachy spray. I asked one of the ladies in the salon for some type of spray for my naturally wavy hair. It frizzes out if I don’t do something with it and this was suggested. I’ll do a review shortly.

Essie Topless and Barefoot Polish ($8) – Need I say more really?!?!?! LOL I tried the Essie Sand Tropez and felt it was a little too gray for my complexion so I decided I would try this one, we’ll see!!

Cover Girl Lip Perfection Lipsticks and Liners (B2G1 @ $6.99 each, after coupons $3.99 each - savings of 43%). In lipsticks I got Fairytale, Feline, Darling, Siren and Coquette. In lip liners I got Seduce and Beloved. Swatches to come!

Cover Girl Eye Enhancers Shadows (B2G1 @ $3.29 each, after coupons $1.53 each - savings of 31%) – I bought some neutral everyday colors; French Vanilla, Tapestry Taupe and Brown Smolder. Swatches to come!

LA Splash Metalic Eyeliner (B2G1 @ $6.49 each, after $5 off coupon $2.66 each – savings of 41%) – The colors I got were Purple Sponge, Blue Whale and Teal Mania. I felt like these colors would be so beautiful with my blue eyes and be so AWESOME to pair with either a neutral eye or a wild eye.

TiGi Bed Head Superstar ($13.59 w/ 20%) – This is a volumizing leave-in conditioner. As a kid I always used Pantene’s spray leave in conditioner, but they stopped making it many years ago and I was bummed. I love using a spray conditioner before and after the pool, to help with damage from the chlorine. So I’m sooo excited to test this one out.

Here is everything I got on clearance from CVS

Sally Hansen’s HD Nail Polish (Originally $6.49 each, after the clearance price I got them for $1.62 each) – I got the colors Blu (02), Pixel Pretty (03), Hi Def (04), Lite (05), Three D (07) and Wavelength (11). Colors will be swatched in the future.

Essie Nail Polish (Originally $8 each, after sale price got them for $4 each) – I got the colors Coat Azure and French Affair. Colors will be swatched in the future.

Almay Bright Eyes (Originally $9.99, after clearance $2.50) – I got the light shade since I’m a fair skinned girl :)

Revlon Colorstay Mineral Finishing Powder (Originally $9.99, after clearance $2.50) – I thought this could work great as a high lighter and for so cheap, who could pass this up?!?!?!?
