Would You Rather TAG 2011

I’ve seen this tag on a few peoples blogs, and thought I would jump in on it too!!

1. Would you rather lose all of your mascaras, eyeliners, lipsticks, and lip glosses, OR lose all of your palettes and eye shadows?
Honestly, I'd rather lose all of my eye shadows and palettes. I don’t wear shadows a lot, but I can go out with mascara and lip gloss and feel fine.

2. Would you rather chop off all your hair, OR never be able to cut it again?
I rather not be able to cut it again, I don’t think I have the right shape of head to go bald. But then again I could get some awesome wigs.

3. Would you rather have a coral cheek, OR a pink cheek?
I'll go with a pink cheek, since I use pinks more often than coral.

4. If you had $1,000 to spend, would you rather buy clothes or makeup?
MAKEUP! Clothes go out of season so quickly that by the time I got them home they would be out of style. However, make up with last month, possibly years (depending on what you get LOL). Plus, then I could save all my money I normally spend on makeup and put towards clothes.

5. Would you rather apply lipstick as eyeliner, OR eyeliner as lipstick?

Definitely eyeliner as a lipstick. Lipstick on my eyes just doesn’t even sound like there’s anyway you could make that look right lol. (ditto)

6. Would you rather only shop Mac, OR Sephora?

Sephora....so much more variety. I could get anything from bath to makeup.
7. Would you rather use only one eye shadow color, OR one lip color for the rest of your life?
Lip, cause I do love changing up my eye color.

8. Would you rather wear winter clothes in the summer, OR summer clothes in the winter?

Ummm.... that’s tough… I hate being cold and I hate being hot… I guess I’ll say winter clothes in the summer because I don’t mind wearing jeans…
9. Would you rather have dark nails, OR bright nails all year round?
Definitely bright nails... I love all shades but lean more towards bright…

10. Would you rather only be able to wear your hair in a pony tail, OR a messy bun?

A probably a messy bun... because that’s how I wear my hair everyday to work…
11. Would you rather never be able to paint your nails again, OR never use lip gloss.

Never use lip gloss... I love both but I REALLY like to have my nails done. It actually relaxes me.

12. Would you rather shave your eyebrows and have none at all, OR sharpie them in every day?
Definitely sharpie them, are you kidding. I would look silly without them, but I’m kind of lazy so... I probably wouldn’t do that either.

13. Would you rather live without makeup or nail polish?
I love both, but I rather live without nail polish. While I could go without nail polish (IF I had to) I don’t think I could go without my face…

I tag everyone!!!

Also, here is a picture of a recent manicure I did. I used China Glaze “For Audrey” and OPI Sparkle Teal Sunrise on my ring fingers. I used Rock Hard as a base and Seche as a top coat. The picture turned out fuzzy but I couldn’t find the good pictures I took (I was deleting a lot of my camera and I think I accidently deleted them). I thought it was so pretty so I had to share anyways.

Review - Origins VitaZing

I’m sure you all have heard more than you wanted to about the Origins VitaZing, however I wanted to put my 2 cents in.

This is a nice moisturizer with a slight tint to it. The color at first is a little dark for my skin tone, however I don’t tan (fake tan that is) my face so it tends to bend in with the rest of my body.

It starts off as this white with grayish flakes lotion.

Then once you start rubbing it in, it turns into a flesh colored moisturizer. The coverage is light, so if you are wanting more coverage you could always apply a powder on top.

The product contains SPF of 15, which is good for those of us wanting some protection daily.

This product is however a little costly. I picked this bottle up at the Cosmetic Company Outlet store for $28, but it sells at the Origins counter for $36. While this is a good tinted moisturizer, I’m not sure I would spend $36 on it. I’ve heard there are some great drug store tinted moisturizer, so I’ll have to find them and let you know what I think.

Have you tried it? What did you think?

Have a fabulous day!

Nail Polish Review – OPI Serena Glam Slam Set

This set includes “Servin’ Up Sparkle” and “Grape… Set… Match”. Both of these colors are SOOOOOO pretty, I love them both. The “Servin’ Up Sparkle” is a silvery sparkle that looks good solo or on top of another color. The “Grape… Set… Match” is a gorgeous purple with blue and pink shimmer to it. I would totally recommend these to anyone!

Review – Revlon Just Bitten Lip Stain and Balm

A few weeks ago I got 3 of the Revlon Just Bitten Lip Stains. There were 15 colors to choose from, and there is a nice range of colors too. I’ve worn them a few time and I like them. I think they are great for the summer time, because I personally don’t like any type of heaviness and sometimes lip stick and lip gloss can feel a little heavy.

These stains are so easy to apply. They have a rounded tip, just like a marker, and you follow the same concept – color in the lines (lip lines that is). These stains are very pigmented and last quiet a while. One the opposite end
Here is the balm(before use) and the applicator

Depending on what you are doing (eating, drinking, etc.) will determine how long it last. I’ve not tried wearing these for an entire day, but I’ve worn them at night when I go out or just to a friends house for a BBQ and they have lasted quiet a bit of time. I’ve also worn the stains with lip gloss on top and it looks really nice as well.

Victorian

Flame

Rust

I even applied one once and then changed my mind on the color, but they don’t just wipe off – so be sure it’s the color you want. J I don’t have anything negative to say about them. Best of all, its kiss proof. J

I kissed my hand after applying the balm and as you can see, no color transfer.

Here is the balm after a few uses

(Left to Right) Victorian, Flame, Rust

I would recommend these to anyone.

Have a fabulous day!

FOXY has been MIA and my Fiesta Nail Art!!!

Ok I'm sooo sorry I haven't been posting the past few days! I've been sooo busy getting ready for an annual party that we throw here at my house.

We throw a party every year called (are you ready??? LOL) the Freckled Fiesta. We invited all of our friends over for a spanish themed party. I prepare a Taco/Nacho/Burrito bar, with all the fixings. I have some margaritas, this year I had strawberry & watermelon margaritas - which were soooo tastey!!!

Anyways, I forgot to take a picture of my makeup that day (partially because guest started arriving at 3:30, and I didn't do my makeup until 4:00 - running around like a mad crazy lady). HOWEVER, in the spirit of the fiesta, I did a "fiesta" themed nail art. **WARNING** I appologize in advance, you about to see my foot and if you hate feet as much as I do - I'm SORRY turn away now!!!!

Ok so here is my Freckled Fiesta inspired nail art

Can you see the little chili peppers on my big toe?!?!? And the poka dots, well they just seemed fitting for freckles. I loved it and I sooo did everyone else (or at least they told me that they did :) )

Hope you all have had a fabulous few days!

Love
