NOTD – China Glaze “Purple Panic (Neon)”

Neon purple is the best way to describe this color. The pictures do not do it any justice and the pictures seem a little muted compared to the actual color. I felt like I need a pick me up, since we’ve been having some pretty sereve dark gloomy weather (I’m in Missouri where we’ve had a LOT of tornados and thunderstorms lately). Anyways when first applied the formula dries very matte. I put a top coat of Sech Vite on my nails which give it the glossy appearance.

This is one of the colors I got FREE from Sally’s Beauty Supply.

I hope you have a fabulous day!

It’s ALL About the LIPS!

So I’ve recently gotten some new lip colors and I decided to swatch them and share my opinions of them, hope you enjoy and maybe this will help you so you don’t waste your money!

This first picture is my natural lip so you can see the natural color of my lips:

  1. Sally Hansen’s Lip Butter in Rosebud and Nectar (picked up at the DollarTree)
It claims that this is a hint of color. The hint is virtually undetectable, but would be a nice gloss layered on top of a lipstick, stain or pencil. The formula was not sticky. The scent sort of reminded my of my lip gloss from when I was a little girl, that “cheap” smell. For only a $1, it’s a good find but I wouldn’t pay any more than $1 for it.

  1. L’Oreal Crayon Grande in Tender Kiss, Suede and Brownstone (picked up at the DollarTree)
This is creamy smooth pencil. It applies very smoothly which is nice. This leaves a creamy matte finish yet smooth finish to your lips. There was a slight smell but not off putting. Again, for only a $1 it’s a good find but since I found them at the DollarTree there weren’t very many color options. Tender Kiss looked good on me, however I don’t think the others looked very good.

Here is Brownstone with Nectar on top

  1. Revlon ColorStay Mineral Lipglaze in Timeless Nude and Infinite Rose (Walgreens for $8.99)
I thought the color selection was very nice, many shades to choose from. The formula didn’t feel sticky. However, I thought this was the WORST smelling lip product I’ve ever used. I would NOT repurchase this product; in fact their new home will be the trash can. How can I smile and want someone near me if I feel like I stink?!?!?

  1. L’Oreal Color Riche Lipstick in Tickled Pink, Peach Fuzz, Sandstone and Wild Plum (Ulta $6)
I thought the color selection was very nice; there were probably 30 shades to choose from. The formula was very creamy and made my lips feel moisturized. The smell was a typical L’Oreal lipstick smell, you know the powdery smell. You can find these pretty much at any drug store and even find a coupon in the paper for these. I would recommend these lipsticks to others.

Hope you found this review helpful and I hope you have a fabulous day!

DollarTree HAUL!!!

Ok so I heard from Whitney @ “The Makeup Station” that the DollarTree sold makeup, who would have thunk it?!?!?! I purchased all of the items below for $13.92, BARGAN!!!! Well hopefully LOL!

I picked up 5 eye shadow trios by L.A. Colors

Sand Dune

Lemon Grove

Grassy Knoll

Moon Rock

Board Walk

About these trios: I have not yet done any looks which these colors but just from swatching the colors I can tell you they are very soft, seem to have a lot of fall out and if I use my normal eye shadow brush the colors don’t seem to apply. On my hand I used the applicator that came with the palette, so I will be playing around more with that. I think for only $1, these can be some fun trios to play around with. I’ll do some looks with these and give you a full review in the future.

I also picked up 3 shimmering loose powders by L.A. Colors
Snow White
Lollipop
Honey Suckle

Lollipop, Honey Suckle, Snow White

About these powders: I have not yet done any looks which these colors but just from swatching the colors I can tell you they are very soft and seem to have a lot of fall out. The color, as you can see from the swatch, is very subtle which I think will be great to use as a highlighter. I think for only $1, these can be some fun trios to play around with. I’ll do some looks with these and give you a full review in the future.

I also got 5 lip products:
  1. Sally Hansen’s Lip Butter in Rosebud
  2. Sally Hansen’s Lip Butter in Nectar
  3. L’Oreal Crayon Grande in Tender Kiss
  4. L’Oreal Crayon Grande in Suede
  5. L’Oreal Crayon Grande in Brownstone
About these lip products: These all seem to be great colors. The lip glosses are very sheer in color but provide a good gloss to your lips. The pencils are creamy and smooth feeling. I’ll be giving you a full review in the future.

Hope you enjoyed my DollarTree haul and I hope you have a fabulous day!
