So I decided to play around with some color over the weekend. So I grabbed some of my LA Color Eyeshadow Trios. I’ve never used these before so I thought it would be a good time to try them out.
I did three different looks so this is Part 1 of 3.
The first one I used was Lemon Grove (thanks Meme for reminding me about these colors). Being a newbie to the whole makeup application, these were pretty hard for me to work with. I actually found it easier to put these on with the applicator it came with because otherwise the color just doesn’t stay on. And once I started to blend, even lightly, it seemed as though all the color disappeared – but hey for $1 I wasn’t expecting much LOL!!! Mine isn’t so much Lemon Grove , but more LemonAID Grove cause I need help.
Before you look closely at this look remember I am an ammiture and I need a better camera – so go easy on the critic, but I’m open to it. I only put make up on my eyes other than a little lip gloss, so I also hope my blotchy skin doesn’t scare you away!
I don't know if this is a look I would wear on a regular basis, but for a spring/summer look I think it's fun. Plus playing around with these looks really helps me get better.
Thanks for checking this look out and I hope you have a fabulous day!

I love it! Great color payoff too, I bought a pink trio from the Dollar Tree and haven't used it yet but I might have to now :)
I love the colours, definitely something i'd wear. You could try an eyeshadow primer to make the colour last longer or pop more. I sometimes use my foundation or one by Jordanna. Hope that helps. Keep beautiful <3
Ah, I saw Meme use this palette recently, it's always interesting to see people's different takes on the same palettes. Keep at the practice and you'll get better and better! I look forward to watching your continuing progress!
Girl, I think this look turned out great so don't be so hard on yourself! =D All it takes is practice, practice, and practice and you'll get better and better!
A few tips, with these trios you definitely need a PRIMER to make the shadows last. Also you may have to BUILD the colors to the intensity that you want because they do fade a bit when blending. hope this helps!
Keep it up girl, you're doing great!
Thank you ladies for the wonderful feedback.
@ Mrs. Makeup – I bet I have it because I bought all 8 that they had LOL!!!
@ Max-E & Meme – I should have used a primer, but I wasn’t thinking. I knew I wasn’t going to wear it but 5 minutes after I finished so I didn’t want it to be hard to take of. Next time I will definitely use a primer. I have two more from that same night and neither one of them have primer, just saying hehehe.
@ Meredith – I’m just impressed I used colors LOL!!! Considering less than a year ago I didn’t understand why people even had brushes, that’s what that plastic thingy is for right?!?!?! LOL But I’m trying and ANY input or even a tutorial would be GREAT! You do such an AMAZING job with your makeup.
I’m just hoping one day my look will look even ½ as great as yours do!
