It seems like OPI has been coming out with a lot of “sparkly” nail polishes lately (wonder if it has anything to do with Deborah Lippman’s polishes being so popular). I recently got the OPI Sparkle Teal Sunrise and thought it was sooo pretty. Then while I was at Walgreens I noticed the new colors Sally Hansen had, and thought one of them resembled the OPI. So I decided to buy it and test to see how close they were. Let’s face it the Sally Hansen polish is a ¼ of the price of OPI.
So first here is what the colors look like in their bottles:
Once I got home and seen the two of them together, they don’t look the much alike in the bottle. The Sally Hansen seem so be lighter than the OPI, but seem to both have quite a bit of glitter in them.
OPI is on the left nail, Sally Hansen is in the right nail
In the swatches you can see on top of a color they appear to be very similar; however the OPI polish has a slight tint of teal in the base of the color and has more glitter in it. The Sally Hansen I would say has a clear base with less glitter. When applied to a clear nail you can see the differences better. The Sally Hansen formula seemed thinner than the OPI.
Sally Hansen Teal-Y Cool
While I wouldn’t say the Sally Hansen is a dupe for the OPI, I would say they are similar.

Hope you are having a fabulous day!

Man, I must have a really bad eye because I can't tell the difference between these at all!
